Finding the right therapist can feel like a big step, particularly when you are already carrying a lot. Therapy in Hertfordshire offers a confidential and supportive space where you can begin to make sense of your experiences, understand what has been holding you back, and work towards changes that feel meaningful to you. Sessions are shaped around your pace and priorities, whether you attend in person at my consulting room in Hertford or online from wherever suits you best.

We will take time to understand your needs and build a therapy plan that is designed specifically for you. Our approach draws on evidence-based psychological models, chosen to match what you are working through and what you want to achieve. This can include:

Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR): EMDR helps youprocess distressing memories and experiences so that they carry less emotionalweight in your day-to-day life.

EMDR Intensives:
These are concentrated, longer sessions of EMDR delivered over a shorter timeframe, suitable for those who want to address trauma in a more focused and immersive way.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy: IFS helps you explore the different inner parts of yourself, fostering greater understanding of internal conflicts andsupporting a more compassionate relationship with your own mind.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): ACT encourages psychological flexibility, helping you respond to difficult thoughts and feelings differently and take purposeful action guided by your values.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): CBT supports you in recognising unhelpful patterns in thinking and behaviour, offering practical tools to respond to challenges in a more balanced way.

Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT): CFT is particularly helpful when self-criticism or shame are part of the picture, guiding you towards a kinder and steadier relationship with yourself.

Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT): IPT explores the connection between your relationships and your emotional wellbeing. It can help with grief, life transitions, interpersonal conflict, and social difficulties. Recognised by NICE for treating depression, it is also suitable for anxiety and trauma-related difficulties.
